Karachi (Staff Report): At least eight people of a family died in the blaze as a mentally retarded woman set the house on fire late Sunday.
According to details, mentally retarded woman, Gulzar Bebe set the house on fire when her husband left home late night.
As the fire erupted, eight family members including Naila, 25, Nazia, 15, Ruqaiya, 7, Rehan, 8, Zafar, 22, Tayab, Aqsa and Gulzar Bebe herself were unfortunately burnt to death while Sajid was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.
Police reached the spot and started investigation.
Husband of woman, Ali Bukhsh told police that as he left home, Gulzar Bebe closed the door and windows and set the house on fire.
Further investigations are underway.
