Lahore (Web Desk): No progress has been made so far in the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Talal Chaudhry’s torture case.

According to details, former minister of state for interior Talal Chaudhry and member of National assembly (MNA) Ayesha Rajab Ali Baloch have not yet made a statement to Police Inquiry Committee.

While talking to media, Inquiry Committee head ASP Abdul Khaliq said that the issue would resolve after Talal and Ayesha record their statements.

He said police team could not meet both leaders for this purpose. Inquiry Committee may use the option of telephone for recording their statements.

On the other hand, PML-N Punjab has also formed a fact-finding committee on the issue. The committee headed by Rana Sanaullah, includes Saira Afzal Tarar, Akram Ansari and Sardar Muhammad Ayub as its members.

The committee will investigate the whole incident within days and submit a report to the party leadership.

Meanwhile, Ayesha Rajab said that the opponents were trying to defame her in this matter.

“I am a mother, sister and belong to an honorable family,” the PML-N lawmaker said.
