Shoaib Malik gets 10 days leave to deal with a 'personal issue'

Lahore (Staff Report): The Pakistan cricket team management has given leave to Shoaib Malik so that he can return home to deal with a domestic issue.

“The Pakistan cricket team management has given leave to Shoaib Malik so that he can return home to deal with a personal issue. He is expected to rejoin the team in 10 days’ time,” the Pakistan Cricket Board said in a statement on Monday.

“The PCB will not be making any further comments and fully expects all concerned to respect Shoaib’s privacy,” the statement added.

The all-rounder, during an interview, revealed that he is not in favour of using the word ‘war’ for matches between India and Pakistan saying he would rather use the word ‘love.’

The comments come after Malik announced that the approaching World Cup 2019 will be his last ODI tournament.
