Federal, Sindh to immediately solve three major problems of Karachi: PM Imran

Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the whole nation feels the pain our people in Karachi.


“The whole nation feels the pain our people in Karachi are going through. However, out of this devastation & suffering there is now a positive development as my govt, along with the Sindh govt, is moving to immediately act & resolve 3 major problems of Karachi,” PM Khan said in a tweet today (Saturday).

“Cleaning the nullahs once & for all & dealing with encroachments impeding water channels; devising a permanent solution to the solid waste disposal & sewerage problems; & resolving the critical issue of water supply to the citizens of Karachi,” the premier added.

Earlier, the Met Office in its new advisory has predicted another monsoon rain system may enter Sindh and Balochistan from Saturday (today).

The Met Office said that Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Tharparker, Nagarparker, MirpurIthas, Islam Kot, Umar Kot, Sanghar, Sukkur and Larkana may witness “isolated heavy to very heavy falls” from Saturday evening till Monday.

It also said that thundershowers with isolated heavy falls are also expected to hit Balochistan’s Lasbella, Khuzdar, Awaran. Barkhan, Zhob, Musa Khel, Loralai, Kohlu and Sibbi on Sunday and Monday.
