Islamabad: (Web Desk) Reacting to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif's arrest in money laundering case, former president and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said that Imran Khan will have to go home when opposition parties with the support of the masses will start anti-govt protests.

“What the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) government wants to convey to the world by arresting political leaders in fake cases,” the former president said while talking to media in Islamabad.

Asif Ali Zardari said that the economic situation of the country and accountability system have exposed Imran Khan’s ability to the nation.

"Yesterday National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested Shehbaz, Sharif tomorrow I would be sent to jail because government believed in political revenge," he said.

Earlier, deposed Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif condemned Shehbaz Sharif’s arrest and clarified to political opponents that PML-N will neither accept injustice nor bow to any pressure.

While talking to media in London, the former premier said that said that the PML-N members and workers will implement all decisions made at the All Parties Conference (APC) despite Shehbaz Sharif’s arrest.

“PTI government's pressure tactics cannot stop the opposition parties from bringing democratic system in the country,” he added.

In his message on twitter, Nawaz Sharif said that by arresting Shehbaz Sharif, this puppet system has validated the APC resolution. He added that Shehbaz Sharif had already confirmed it to party’s members that APC decisions would be implemented whether he detained or not.

On Monday, PML-N vice President Maryam Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had strictly condemned Shehbaz Sharif’s arrest.

In her twitter message، the PML-N vice president said: “Make no mistake. Shehbaz Sharif has been arrested ONLY because he REFUSED to play in the hands of those who wanted to use him against his brother. He preferred standing behind prison bars than to stand against his brother. Shahbaz Sharif, aap ko SALAM!”

“If there is justice in the country then Asim Bajwa and his family was arrested instead of Shehbaz Sharif, she added.”

Maryam  further said: “Imran Khan cannot save his fake mandate. PML-N every worker will act upon decisions made by Shehbaz Sharif in All Parties Conference (APC) .

Today we all are Shahbaz Sharif," the PML-N vice president said.
