Punjab govt decides to implement Integrated Public Prosecution System

Lahore (Web Desk): The Punjab government has decided to implement Punjab Integrated Public Prosecution System in the province.

Chairing a meeting in Lahore on Tuesday, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed for the improvement of legal standards.

The meeting was briefed about the prosecution department recommendations and suggestions.

In the meeting, a "set of skills" was presented for the professional competence of prosecutors and a proposal was made to implement a digital system for determining performance indicators of prosecutors.

It was stated in the briefing that the performance score will be checked to determine the performance of the prosecutors, transparent grading will be done depending on the performance of the prosecutor.

In her remarks during the meeting, Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz said that it is necessary to eliminate corruption in the investigation so that the legal standard of the First Information Report (FIR) is improved.
