Lahore: Local body government system restored in Punjab as newly elected lord mayor, deputy mayors, district chairman and vice chairman took oath on Saturday.
In Lahore, oath taking ceremony was held at Lahore Town Hall where Colonel (retd) Mubashir Javaid was sworn in as lord mayor, while deputy mayors also took oath.
Returning Officer (RO) Mehmood Masood administered oath to the lord mayor and deputy mayors.
High-ranking officials including Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) and deputy commissioner of Lahore also attended the event.
