'Those in power' should stand with nation, says Imran as PTI's long march continues

Lahore (Web Desk): The long march led by former premier and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan resumed from Kamoke on Monday.

Addressing the participants on the fourth day of the PTI's 'Haqeeqi Azadi march', the former premier said that asked "those in power" to observe who the people are standing with.

The PTI chief said that those who stand with thieves will be equally responsible.

"The establishment never stands against the nation because the populace and the armed forces strengthen the country together," he said, urging the powers-that-be to not support "thieves".

On the occasion, Imran Khan said that he will file a defamation suit of Rs10 billion against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sultan Sikander Raja for questioning his integrity.

Addressing the crowd near Eminabad, the PTI chief said that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif was waiting for a "favourable environment" and "understanding with the powerful sectors" to return to Pakistan.

Imran Khan said he was warring the "Nawaz's enablers" that this "is the Pakistani nation, not sheep".

In the morning ahead of the resumption of long march, the former premier said that said that the sea of people was on the way to the Islamabad on GT Road.

He questioned if the “revolution” which had been going on for “six months” would be a “soft one through the ballot box or a destructive one through bloodshed.”

The former premier said that PTI's long march will reach Islamabad within nine days.

“We are coming to Islamabad and it will take us 8-9 days to reach Islamabad,” Imran khan said, while inviting people from across the country to join him in the “struggle for freedom”.

Imran Khan said that caravans from Giglit-Baltistan (GB), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Sindh and other areas of the country were leaving. “All of us together will go to Islamabad, ” the PTI chief said.
