Lahore (Staff Report): Shab-e-Barat was observed across the country on Tuesday with religious zeal and fervour amid elaborate security arrangements.
Muslims every year celebrate Shab-e-Barat, the night of fortune and forgiveness, on 15th of Shaban (lunar calendar).
In order to seek blessings the faithful remained engaged to offer special prayers (Nawafil and Shabina) during the whole night. Special Nawafil and Shabina also offered by people to seek blessings of Allah and forgiveness for their sins.
Besides, a large number of believers also visited graveyards and offered special prayers for the departed souls of their near and dear ones.
In addition to that, food in large quantities was distributed among the orphans and the destitute at special langar in mosques.
