British PM May plans to visit China to strengthen trade links

London: British economy has faced many hiccups in the recent past. With an all out economical war between US and China, British PM has decided to get the maximum out of it.Downing Street has announced that Theresa May will visit China this year, creating speculation that she intends to accept an invitation to Xi Jinping’s One Belt, One Road summit in May. Mrs May’s term as prime minister got off to a rocky start last year from a Chinese perspective as she put a hold on the Chinese-funded Nuclear plant. She is keen to reinvigorate the relationship before the UK leaves the EU, scheduled for 2019. How cordial relations will be remains to be seen, however, after her warm welcome to Donald Trump, the new US president who has promised punishing tariffs on imports from China.
