PTI demands JIT to find 'spy agency responsible for audio leaks', says Imran Khan

Islamabad (Web Desk): Former premier and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday said that his party will approach the courts seeking formation of a joint investigation team (JIT) to probe which intelligence agency is involved in the "bugging" of the Prime Minister's (PM) House and PM Office (PMO).

In a series of tweets, the former premier said that the audio leaks are a serious breach of national security as they called into question the entire security of the Prime Minister's Office and his house.

Imran Khan said that the investigation is critical “because sensitive security issues are & have been illegally recorded & subsequently hacked, implying confidentiality of Pak's national security has been exposed globally”.

The PTI chief's allegation of intelligence agencies being involved in bugging comes after the interior minister had categorically stated that no agency was found involved in the security breach.
Moreover, the federal cabinet has already formed a committee to investigate the breach of security.

The committee met for the first time last week under Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah's chairmanship.

Last Friday, two fresh audio recordings, purportedly that of the PTI chief Imran Khan surfaced on social media in a series of such leaks in recent days, the only difference this time was the one in which he allegedly talked about "horse-trading" instead of the US cypher like in the other ones.
