NAB chief takes notice of Dr Abdul Samad's arrest

Islamabad (Staff Report): Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal on Saturday took notice of the arrest of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Director of Archaeology and Museums Dr Abdul Samad.

As per a notification issued by NAB, Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has directed to present Dr Abdul Samad in Islamabad on February 18.

The NAB chief said that the KP director of archaeology and museums should be presented along with his record and details of allegations against him.

 "NAB values Dr Abdul Samad's services to the nation and will ensure that his respect is maintained. Justice will be done in accordance with the law and Constitution," the NAB chairman stated.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had taken notice of NAB's proceedings against Dr Abdul Samad.

In a tweet message, the PM said that the NAB chairman should take action against those in his institution who are involved in this disgraceful act.
