Punjab govt gives PTI 24 hours to handover ‘terrorists’ hiding in Zaman Park

Lahore (Web Desk): The interim Punjab government has given a 24-hour deadline to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to handover 30 to 40 ' terrorists' who have taken refuge in former premier Imran Khan's Zaman Park residence in Lahore.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Punjab Interim Information Minister Amir Mir has said that “technical and intelligence” information had also been received through geo-fencing that terrorists were seeking refuge at Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence.

The minister added that these people also included those who had attacked the Lahore Corps Commander House.

He said that the agencies investigating were in possession of the evidence regarding their involvement in the attacks.

Mir alleged that the PTI leadership had planned the violent protests that took place in the country following the arrest of Imran Khan.

The minister claimed that the PTI has started to behave like a non-state actor.

He said that the PTI chief has been targeting the military since over a year and urged the party to hand over the “terrorists”.

"The PTI leadership had planned the attack before the arrest [of Imran Khan]," said Mir.

The minister said that the Centre, the military leadership and the Punjab government had already decided that the ones involved in the attacks would be punished.
