Qadri demands Shehbaz, Sanaullah resignations by Dec 31

Lahore (Staff Report): Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri on Tuesday reiterated his demand for resignation of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif and provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah by December 31, in connection with Model Town incident inquiry report.

Qadri, in his press conference, demanded Shehbaz and Sanaullah to surrender themselves before law enforcement authorities.

The PAT leader said that in case his demands are not met he will announce his next course of action.

At least 14 people died and 85 others were injured in a clash between police and PAT workers over the issue of barriers erected outside the Minhajul Quran Secretariat in Lahore in June 2014.

Backing Qadri’s demand earlier this month, former president Asif Ali Zardari had had agreed to start a movement against the incumbent government in Punjab if the chief minister did not step down.
