Lahore (Web Desk): The long march to Islamabad led by former premier and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will resumed from Lahore's Shahdara area on Saturday.
Ahead of the start of day two of the march, former federal minister and PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said that this movement is aimed at empowering the nation and ensuring that decision-making is not done behind closed doors.
Fawad said people who are a part of this long march want to change the system for the next generation.

“On the one hand, the government is satisfied that people are not coming out, on the other hand, media organisations have been receiving threats that they should not cover the Haqeeqi Azadi March,” the former minister said in another tweet.

Former ruling party's long march dubbed as "Haqeeqi Azadi March" kicked off from Lahore's Liberty Chowk on Friday.
Addressing a public gathering at Liberty Chowk, the PTI chief said that unlike Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, he was "not a runaway that would either sit quietly here or criticise the military in London".
"I will not go abroad. I will live and die here. I only want transparent elections. My people should decide who will rule the country," he added.
During his speech at Ichra, the second stop of the march, Imran Khan reiterated that he will never accept slavery, challenging the authorities concerned to try to stop the tsunami of the people.
“Be prepared to liberate our country,” Khan told thousands of people marching towards the federal capital.
Addressing the participants, at the end of the first day of the anti-government protest near Dasta Darbar, the PTI chief said he knew Lahore will never disappoint him "However, we are concluding our Islamabad-bound journey for today."
Khan had announced that the long march would resume its journey towards the federal capital at 11am from Shahdara, outside Lahore.
The PTI chief reiterated his stance, saying the long march was neither for politics nor was it a regular movement. Instead, it is a "jihad" for real freedom, he stressed.
As per the reports, the march is expected to enter Islamabad on November 4 after passing through Kamonki, Gujranwala, Daska, Sumbrial, Lala Musa, Khariyan, Gujjar Khan and Rawalpindi.
