New Delhi (Web Desk): An Indian news reader read the breaking news of her husband's death live on TV channel.
According to details, 28-year-old Supreet Kaur works as an anchor in private IBC-24 channel of Chhattisgarh, kept her calm and read out the news of a road accident that caused the death of her husband.
Indian media reported, Kaur's commitment to her job left her colleagues shocked. She, however, broke down after leaving the studio and completing the news bulletin.
One of the colleague said, "She is an extremely brave lady. We are proud of her as an anchor, but what happened today has left us in shock".
A senior editor told, "She got a sense that it was her husband's vehicle. She read the bulletin and only when she came out of the studio, she started calling her relatives".
The editor said the staffers had come to know that her husband was dead while she was reading the news. "But we did not tell her. We did not have the courage," the editor explained. The couple was married a year ago.
