COAS praises Pak army’s befitting response to Indian violations along LoC

Rawalpindi (Staff Report): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday lauded high-state of operational readiness and high morale of Pak army and appreciated the befitting of response to Indian ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC), said a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s public relations wing.

ISPR statement said that COAS Gen Bajwa said while visiting troops deployed along Loc in Nakial Sector, where he was briefed on the situation by the local commander.

Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza was also accompanied COAS.

The army chief also visited parents of Lieutenant Khawar at his home who embraced martyrdom during an operation in Bannu. Gen Bajwa hailed the supreme sacrifice of the officer and his family for the motherland, the statement added. He was accompanied by Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza.

Earlier today, at least five Pakistani civilians, including two women, were injured in unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian troops along the Line of Control (LoC).
