Karachi (Staff Report): Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) touched another record peak on Thursday as the KSE-100 index managed to close above 50 ,000 points level .

At close, the PSX benchmark index recorded a rise of 0.88%, or 435.59 points, to end the day’s trading at 50 ,192.36 points.

The meteoric rise of the PSX , which began in November last year, is attributed by some analysts less to the underlying companies’ prospective earnings and growth and more to the liquidity that swamps the market.
