Israeli airstrikes hit Gaza's Jabalia refugee camp again

Gaza (Web Desk): Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza was attacked again on Wednesday, a day after an Israeli airstrike claimed numerous lives in the area and provoked a strong outcry.

According to international media, Israeli airstrikes hit apartment buildings in a refugee camp near Gaza City for a second day in a row, causing many deaths and injuries, the Hamas-run government said. The toll from Wednesday’s strikes was not immediately known.

Meanwhile, dozens of people with foreign passports entered the Rafah crossing from Gaza to Egypt. It appeared to be the first time that foreign passport holders have been allowed to leave the besieged territory since the start of the Israel-Hamas war more than three weeks ago.

Communications and internet services were gradually being restored after the second major cut in five days, according to Paltel, the main service provider. Humanitarian aid agencies have warned that such blackouts severely disrupt their work in an already dire situation in Gaza.

A day earlier, at least 100 Palestinians were martyred and more than 150 injured in the Israeli airstrikes on Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza strip.

As per the media reports, Israel bombed the refugee camp with 6 highly destructive American bombs, each one weighing a ton of explosives, on one of the heavily populated blocks in Gaza.

The army spokesperson had claimed that there was a Hamas headquarters in the area.

On the other hand, the health ministry in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip said Wednesday 8,796 people have been killed since the war with Israel erupted on October 7.

The death toll includes 3,648 children while 22,219 people have been wounded, a health ministry statement said.

Additionally, the Israeli attacks have left 132 medics dead and 25 ambulances destroyed, al-Qudra reported.

Meanwhile, Jordan has announced  it is recalling its ambassador to Israel over the war in Gaza.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Jabalia refugee camp.

UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, reaffirmed the need for immediate ceasefire to prevent further loss of life.

Earlier, Bolivia also announced to break diplomatic relations with Israel over its crimes against humanity in Gaza Strip and occupied West Bank.

ddressing a press conference in La Paz, Bolivia's Deputy Foreign Minister Freddy Mamani said that Israel is committing crimes against humanity in its attacks on the Gaza Strip.

He said that Bolivia is calling for a ceasefire and an end to "the blockade that prevents the entry of food, water and other essential elements for life.
