Six terrorists killed in Zhob IBO: ISPR

Rawalpindi Web Desk): At least six terrorists were killed by the security forces in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Sambaza area of Balochistan's Zhob district, the military's media wing said on Wednesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out by the security forces on reported presence of terrorists on the night between October 31 and November 1.

"During the conduct of operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists, resultantly six terrorists were sent to hell," the statement said.

It added that a cache of arms, ammunition and explosives has also been recovered.

"The killed terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces and target killing of innocent civilians",  the military's media wing said.

The statment said that sanitisation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.

"Security forces of Pakistan, in step with nation, remain determined to thwart attempts of sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan," the ISPR said.
