Ramadan moon sighted in Pakistan, first fast on Sunday

Islamabad (Web Desk): The Ruet-i-Hilal Committee on Saturday evening announced that the Ramazan moon sighted and the first fast will be observed on Sunday.

The announcement was made by Chairman Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad at a press conference in Peshawar.

Maulana Khabeer said the moon was sighted in Lahore, Narowal, Islamabad, Sialkot, Kasur, Pakpattan, Kharian, Karak, and other places, while a substantial number of people also reported that they had seen the moon.

“Therefore, it was decided that first Ramazan will be on April 3, 2022 on Sunday,” he added.
