Nine passengers burnt to death after van catches fire in Jhelum

Jhelum (Staff Report): At least nine people were burnt to death and seven others were injured after a passenger van caught fire at GT Road near Jhelum late on Sunday.

As per details, the Rawalpindi-bound Hiace van with at least 16 passengers caught fire, claiming lives of seven people.

According to police, the van caught fire after it rammed into a truck near Taraki Toll Plaza Sohawa, Jhelum district.

Firefighters doused the fire before rescuing the injured. Those injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
