PSL 9: Lahore Qalandars beat Islamabad United by 17 runs

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Lahore Qalandars defeated Islamabad United by 17 runs in the 9th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL 9) at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

Islamabad United won the toss and decided to field first.

Batting first, Lahore Qalandars scored 162 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in allotted 20 overs.

Rasi Vander Dusen was the top scorer with 64 runs, scoring four and as many fours. Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi played an innings of 30 runs while near the ending of the innings, David Vissa scored an unbeaten 24 runs.

Rumman Raees bagged two wickets while Naseem Shah, Hunain Shah, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan and Faheem Ashraf took one wicket each.

In reply, Islamabad United could not chase the target and were all out at 145 in 18.5 overs.

Colin Munroe scored 15 runs, while Alex Hales 0, Agha Salman 4, Shadab Khan 7, Imad Wasim 4, Jordan Cox 7, Azam Khan 29, Faheem Ashraf 41, Naseem Shah 27, Haneen Shah 3 and  Roman Rais scored 2 runs. 

For Lahore Qalandars, Zaman Khan bagged four wickets, Shaheen Shah Afridi two, David Wiese, Jahandad Khan and Ahsan Hafeez took one wicket each.
