Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Islamabad United defeated Karachi Kings by five wickets in the 9th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL 9) at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on Thursday.
Islamabad United won the toss and decided to field first.
Batting first, Karachi Kings scored 150 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in allotted 20 overs.
Kieron Pollard played an innings of 39 runs, James Vance scored 29 runs, Tim Seifert 26, Irfan Khan 16, captain Shan Masood scored 10, Hasan Ali 6 and Mir Hamza remained not out by scoring 2 runs.
For Islamabad United, Timel Mills took 3 wickets, Faheem Ashraf 2 while Imad Wasim and Haneen Shah took one wicket each.
In reply, Islamabad United achieved the target in 18.4 overs for the loss of five wickets.
United Batters, Colin Munro scored 9 runs, Alex Hales 18, Aghasulman 33, Shadab Khan 34, Azam Khan 9, Haider Ali 26 and Faheem Ashraf scored 12.
While bowling for Karachi Kings, Mir Hamza took three wickets, Blessing Muzarbani and Zahid Mehmood took one wicket each.
