AKU launches app to check coronavirus symptoms at home

Karachi (Web Desk): The Aga Khan University Hospital has launched a mobile application, 'CoronaCheck', so people can assess their symptoms for coronavirus from their homes.

“A new app means that you don’t need to visit the hospital to screen yourself for the coronavirus. CoronaCheck, an Android app jointly launched by AKU and its teaching hospital, is helping users to safely and easily assess their symptoms from home,” said the university in a tweet.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan on Thursday rose to 4,317.

At least 2, 166 cases reported in Punjab, 1036 in Sindh, 560 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 212 in Balochistan, 213 in Gilgit Baltistan, 102 in Islamabad, and 28 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the National Command and Control Centre, the death toll related to COVID-19 has reached 63, while at least 572 patients have fully recovered.

Since emerging in Wuhan, China last December, the coronavirus has spread to at least 184 countries and regions around the globe, with the number of confirmed cases now exceeding 1.42 million.
