PCB accepts Inzamamul Haq's resignation

Lahore (Web Desk): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday confirmed that it accepted Inzamam-ul-Haq's resignation as the chairman of the national men's selection committee and junior selection committee and will announce his replacement in due course.

"Pakistan Cricket Board has accepted Inzamam ul Haq's resignation as the chairman of the national men's selection committee and junior selection committee and will announce his replacement in due course," the PCB said in a statement.

A five-member fact-finding committee was formed by the board to investigate allegations regarding conflict of interest reported in the media about the team selection process. The findings of this inquiry will be submitted to the PCB Management promptly.

On October 30, Inzamamul Haq resigned from his post as the chief selector of the national men’s selection committee over allegations of having shares in a players’ agent company.

As per the reports, Inzamam tendered his resignation to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) which the board later confirmed.

Inzamam was appointed as the chairman of the national men's selection committee on 7 August 7, 2023 and was also appointed chairman of the junior men's selection committee last month.
