Muhammad Aurangzeb takes charge as finance minister 

Islamabad (Web Desk): Muhammad Aurangzeb officially took over the responsibility as Finance Minister after taking oath at the Presidency.

On his arrival at the ministry, he was warmly welcomed by Secretary Finance and senior officials of the Ministry.

A preliminary meeting of senior management was held to facilitate introductions and initial discussions.
Aurangzeb, who was serving as President and CEO of Habib Bank Limited (HBL), tendered his resignation on Monday following his appointment as a federal minister.

The new finance minister is a former Citi banker and has also served in JP Morgan’s Global Corporate Bank based in Singapore and at ABN AMRO in Amsterdam.

Mhuhammad Aurangzeb, who renounced his Dutch nationality and was granted a Pakistani nationality on Monday evening, received his BS and MBA degrees from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He reportedly had previously renounced his Pakistani nationality in favour of the Dutch nationality.
