Over 1200 Palestinians martyred as Israeli bombardment on Gaza enters sixth day

Gaza (Web Desk): Israeli bombardment continued for sixth consecutive day as besieged Palestinians in Gaza keep searching for bodies under the rubble of destroyed buildings.

According to Palestinian Health Ministry, at least 1228 Palestinians lives are lost in Gaza Strip and 5600 injured, while in occupied West Bank 28 killed and 150 injured according to Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

The number of dead Israeli soldiers has risen to 220 after more bodies of those killed in the Hamas attack were recovered.

As per the foreign media reports, the number of Israelis killed in Al-Aqsa operation by Hamas has reached 1300.

The United States (US) has also confirmed the death of 22 of its citizens in Hamas attacks on Israel. According to foreign media, on Tuesday, the US President confirmed that 14 Americans had been killed, but now the number has increased to 22. On the other hand, Germany has directed 5,000 of its citizens to leave Israel.

The concern is rising over the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in war-torn Gaza, where Israel had levelled over 1,000 buildings and imposed a total siege, cutting off water, food and energy supplies for 2.3 million people. While the only power plant in the strip has shut down after it ran out of fuel on Wednesday.

The United Nations (UN) says that 338,934 Palestinians have been displaced in Gaza. The UN chief took on X (formerly known as Twitter) to demand “rapid and unimpeded humanitarian access now", into Gaza Strip.

On the other hand, The Israeli PM and opposition leader agreed to form a government and war cabinet as both put aside bitter political divisions as Tel Aviv prepares to unleash a brutal ground operation in Gaza to reduce it to a “tent city”, according to claims by Israeli officials. The three-member “war cabinet” would include Netanyahu, Gantz and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.

Earlier on Wednesday, Arab foreign ministers sat together for an emergency meeting in Cairo and affirmed the importance of Israel’s fulfilment of the international law obligations as an occupying power for the Palestinians.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to discuss the tension in Gaza and the surrounding area. On this occasion, the Saudi Crown Prince said that Saudi Arabia is making joint efforts to stop the tension.
