Six labourers shot dead in Balochistan's Turbat

Turbat (Web Desk): At least six labourers were shot dead in the Satellite area of Turbat city in Kech district of Balochistan in the wee hours of Saturday.

According to police, the incident occurred when a group of armed men entered into a residence in Turbat’s Satellite Town area and indiscriminately shot the labourers.

The deceased and injured laborers belonged to Punjab and were engaged in construction work under the employment of a local contractor.

The dead bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital. The attackers managed to escape the scene while police have initiated an investigation.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has strongly condemned the attack on innocent laborers in Turbat.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the premier wrote that he is deeply saddened to hear about the terrorist attack on innocent laborers.

He condemned this heinous act and said we stand united against terrorism.

Caretaker Balochistan Chief minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad incident and sought the report from concerned officials.

He directed to use all resources to arrest the culprits.
