Pattan (Web Desk): At least 10 people were killed in a fire incident on Friday morning in the Seri area of Pattan, the district headquarters of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Lower Kohistan.
According to Lower Kohistan Rescue 1122, the fire erupted in a wooden house due to an electric short circuit in the early hours of Friday when the residents were asleep.
As a result, the house’s roof collapsed, leading to the deaths of 10 family members, including children and women and leaving three others injured.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Rescue 1122 fire vehicles and ambulances reached the location and started rescue operations.
Rescue teams from Upper Kohistan and Shangla were also called in for assistance due to the intensity of the fire and debris.
