PSL9: Karachi Kings beat Peshawar Zalmi by 7 wickets

Lahore (Web Desk): Karachi Kings defeated Peshawar Zalmi by seven wickets in the 6th match of the 9th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL 9) at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday.

Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi were all out for 154 in 19.3 overs.

In reply, Karachi Kings chased the target in 16.5 overs for a loss of only 3 wickets.

Kings’ bowlers caused all kinds of trouble to Zalmi’s batters.

Shoaib Malik dismissed Saeem Ayub for a wicket, then Mohammad Haris was dismissed for 6 runs off Mir Hamza.

Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam scored 72 runs, besides Tom Koehler Cadmore 2, Roman Paul 39, Asif Ali 23, Aamir Jamal 1, Lockwood returned to the pavilion scoring 8 runs.  Muhammad Zeeshan, Salman Irshad and Waqar Salam could not score any run.

Mir Hamza and Hasan Ali took three wickets each for Karachi Kings.

Batting for Karachi Kings, Kieron Pollard scored 49 runs off 21 balls and was not out. His innings included 4 sixes and 4 fours, while James Vance was outstanding with 38 runs.

Among other players, Shoaib Malik scored 29, Mohammad Akhlaq 24 and captain Shan Masood scored 12 runs.

For Peshawar Zalmi, Luke Wood dismissed 2 players and Waqar Salam Khel dismissed one player.
