1st ODI: Pakistan set 202-run target for Afghanistan

Hambantota (Web Desk): Pakistan set 202-run for Afghanistan in the first one-day international (ODI) of the three-match series at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka's Hambantota.

Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first against Afghanistan.

The Green Shirts suffered early losses Fakhar Zaman was removed for two and skipper Babar Azam departed for duck.

However, Imam-ul-Haq’s notable contribution of 61 runs provided stability. Shadab Khan’s contribution of 39 and Iftikhar Ahmed’s 30 runs also added to the scoreboard.

Mujeeb Ur Rehman’s three wickets played a pivotal role in Afghanistan’s effort to dismiss Pakistan for a total of 201 runs.

Afghanistan’s Mujeeb claimed 3 wickets, while Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan secured 2 wickets each.
