Murad Ali Shah takes oath as Sindh CM for 3rd consecutive term

Karachi (Web Desk): Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday took oath as the chief minister of Sindh for the third consecutive term.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori administered oath to the newly elected CM.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari , party leaders, lawmakers and Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar, who served as the caretaker chief minister, were also present on the occasion.

Murad Ali Shah was elected as the CM by the members of the Sindh Assembly on Monday securing 112 votes, while his opponent Ali Khursheedi of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) received only 36 votes.

Murad had previously held the position of Sindh CM from 2016 to 2018 and from 2018 to 2023.
