Lahore (Web Desk): Multan Sultans emerged victorious against defending champions Lahore Qalandars by 60 runs in 14th match of the 9th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL 9) at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday.
This was the sixth consecutive defeat of the Shaheen Shah Afridi-led Lahore Qalandars in the ongoing tournament while Multan Sultans secured their fifth win in the ongoing tournament.
Batting first, Multan Sultans exhibited outstanding batting performance, scoring 214 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allocated 20 overs.
Usman Khan's explosive innings of 96 runs off 55 balls and Imran Tahir's economical spell of 40 runs off 18 balls were noteworthy.
For Lahore Qalandars, Shaheen Shah Afridi took 2 wickets, while Carlos Brathwaite and Seekkuge Prasanna claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Lahore Qalandars' team faced a tough challenge and was bowled out for 154 runs in 17 overs.
