Islamabad (Staff Report): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has issued directives for National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and all provincial governments to take immediate precautionary measures across the country to contain any potential damage in the wake of ongoing monsoon spell.
PM Nawaz also directed to keep the residents of vulnerable areas informed regarding emergency procedures and ensure timely evacuations, wherever needed.
Met Office has predicted heavy rainfall in coming which could possibly trigger flashfloods in nullahs and landsliding in hilly areas.
