Nation celebrates Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with religious, traditional zeal

Islamabad (Web Desk): Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) is being celebrated across the country on Friday (today) with great religious zeal and fervour.

The day dawned with a 31 and 21 gun salute in the federal and provincial capitals, respectively, following a night of Mahafil-e-Naat and conferences across the country.

Special prayers were offered in mosques for upholding and flourishing of Islam and religious teachings, unity, solidarity, progress, and welfare of the Muslim Ummah.

State and religious organisations, Milad committees and individuals have planned a number of activities including processions, seminars, conferences and discussion programmes to mark the annual event.

A two-day National Seerat-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon) also held in the federal capital in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

Prominent Ulema, Mashaikh and scholars participated in the Conference and threw light on various aspects of the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

Streets and roads, as well as bazaars, shopping centres, government and private buildings have been beautifully decorated and illuminated with lights, colours and banners bearing writings about the celebrations Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

Muslims across the world observe the Prophet Muhammed’s (PBUH) birthday on the 12th day of the Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
