Bilawal urges NA speaker to issue Ali Wazir's production orders

Islamabad (Staff Report/Agencies): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has urged the National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser to issue production orders for MNA Ali Wazir.

Addressing a news conference on Wednesday, the PPP chairman said Ali Wazir’s production orders should be issued so he could attend Friday’s session of the National Assembly, so he can express his position.

An anti-terrorism court on Monday granted eight-day physical remand of MNA Ali Wazir to Counter Terrorism Department officials in a case pertaining to the recent clash between Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) and security forces.

Earlier the day, Bilawal appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in an inquiry in connection with the fake accounts case.

The PPP chairman left the NAB headquarters after a joint interrogation team of the probe authority questioned him for 30 minutes.

As per sources, Bilawal Bhutto was handed over a questionnaire from the NAB team. In the questionnaire, Bilawal was asked 32 questions, which he has to respond to by June 12. The sources added that PPP leader was probed regarding the accounts of Zardari Group of companies.
