Lahore (Web Desk): Former Pakistan captain Inzamamul Haq on Monday resigned from his post as the chief selector of the national men’s selection committee over allegations of having shares in a players’ agent company.
As per the reports, tendered his resignation to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) which the board later confirmed.
The development comes after the former captain he was alleged of having shares in a company named Yazo International Limited, who is owned by an agent Talha Rahmani. The allegations had raised concerns of potential conflict of interest.
Meanwhile, the PCB, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), said it had formed a five-member fact-finding committee to “investigate allegations in respect of conflict of interest reported in the media pertaining to the team selection process”.
“The committee will submit its report and any recommendations to the PCB management in an expeditious manner,” it added.

Meanwhile, speaking to a private news channel, Inzamam confirmed the news, saying that people speak without research. "Questions were raised on me so I decided that it was better I resign, " he said.
"If PCB wants to investigate me, I am available. People are talking [about me] without having any kind of proof, if there is any, then bring it. I have asked the PCB to do the same.
I have no connection with the player agent company, these types of accusations hurt me," the former captain stated.
