Nowshera (Staff Report): The district police officer (DPO) Nowshera dismissed a traffic warden Waseem Sajjad for allegedly abusing an old man in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Nowshera district, a notification issued Friday said.

The traffic warden assaulted and kicked the elderly citizen in the back with full force when he failed to stop the old man outside the venue of the centenary celebrations of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F).

KP Inspector General Salahuddin Khan Mehsud ordered DPO Wahid Mehmood to present a report within 24 hours.

The IG ordered DPO Nowshera to dismiss the warden from service with immediate effect after the report was presented.
