PM Nawaz departs for Switzerland to attend World Economic Forum

Islamabad (Staff Report): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday left for Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF).

According to details, PM Nawaz will attend the four-day meeting on the invitation of the executive chairman of the economic forum, which starts from Tuesday.

On the sidelines of the forum, the premier will also meet heads of states and governments and business leaders, attending WEF.

PM Nawaz is also expected to meet the United Nations’ new Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Swiss President Doris Leuthard in Davos.

The Pakistani premier will also address top business leaders on “Investing in Pakistan: The New Reality”.

He will also attend a round table meeting in which the Prime Minister will share the details of economic changes taking place and the vast opportunities for trade and investment in the country.

It should be noted that World Economic Forum will be attended by more than 3200 participants, including heads of states, top business leaders, public figures and leaders from the media and academic fields.

The theme for the 2017 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting is “Responsive and Responsible Leadership”.
