PTI's 23rd Foundation Day: PM Imran reiterates to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state

Islamabad (Agencies): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday reiterated to put the country on the path of development and prosperity in line with the Islamic welfare model state of Madina, Radio Pakistan reported.

Addressing the ceremony in connection with the 23rd founding day of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Islamabad, the prime minister said ideology of Pakistan is our mission and we are striving to make the country a welfare state where every citizen will enjoy equal rights.

He regretted that when the rulers of the country become thief, the system ultimately collapse and the country falls prey to a chaotic situation.

The PM said that the size of debt of the country has jumped to thirty thousand billion rupees from six thousand billion rupees during the last ten years.

He said when PTI came into power there was a budget deficit of 1300 billion, the gas sector was facing loss of 150 billion rupees.

Imran Khan said circular debt we inherited was 1200 billion rupees last year.

The PM said that Ehsas Program will be historical program of PTI led government in poverty alleviation.

Announcing ten point agenda of his government, he said this is a historic and comprehensive program regarding destitutes, widows, orphans, workers, labourers, farmers, jobless, homeless, aged and poor students of the country.

Imran Khan said the government has already started affordable housing program for shelterless people of the country.

He said the government is also committed to promote tourism in the country as Pakistan is rich in tourism sector. The PM said that the government is also announcing local bodies system to devolve the power and new system will ensure the development of back ward areas.

Imran Khan said that the steps are being taken to develop the agriculture sector with support of china as it is committed to support Pakistan.

PM Khan said the PTI-led government has already started the health card scheme for poor segment of the country.
