Lahore (Web Desk): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) dissident Jahangir Khan Tareen group has formally announced to support the joint Opposition’s candidate, and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz for Punjab’s chief minister slot.
Addressing a joint press conference alongside Hamza Shehbaz, Tareen group’s senior leader Malik Nauman Langriyal made the official announcement.
He said that all the decisions have been taken by estranged PTI leader Jahangir Tareen and all members of his group agree with the decision.
Speaking on the occasion, Hamza said he will surprise the people after the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan succeeds on Sunday.
Speaker Punjab Assembly has called the session at 3pm on Sunday for the election of chief minister.
