ISPR condemns firing incident during PTI long march

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): The Inter-Services Public Relations on Thursday condemned firing incident during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march in Wazirabad.

In a statement on Thursday, the ISPR extended sincere prayers for precious life lost and speedy recovery and wellbeing of PTI chief Imran Khan and all those injured in this unfortunate incident.

PTI chief Imran Khan and four other party members were injured in firing at Imran Khan’s container during his "Azadi March" in Wazirabad on Thursday.

According to the police, the firing incident took place near Allah Wala Chowk, Wazirabad when the march was on its way to Islamabad.

As a result, Imran Khan and four PTI members, including Senator Faisal Javed, Ahmad Chatha and another person, sustained injuries.

Following the incident, Imran Khan was shifted to Shaukat Khanum Hospital Lahor for treatment.
