Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan on Thursday condemned the terrorist attacks at police and security installations in Iranian cities of Rask and Chabahar.

In a statement, the Foreign Office (FO) extended Pakistan's heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayers for the recovery of the injured.

“Pakistan stands in full solidarity with the people and Government of Iran in fighting terrorism,” the statement said.

“Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and is deeply concerned about the growing acts of terrorism in our region,” the FO said, adding that it is a regional and global threat that requires resolute response.

Militants launched a major attack on bases of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in southeast Iran, resulting in 27 deaths, including 16 attackers and 11 security forces members.
The militant group Jaish al-Adl claimed responsibility, stating their aim for independence in southeast Iran, state media reported.

“The terrorists failed to succeed achieving their goal of seizing the Guards headquarters in Chabahar and Rask,” deputy Interior Minister Majid Mirahmadi told state TV.

The State TV said that 10 other security officers were also injured in the fighting in the impoverished region.
