Pak, Afghan reaffirm to achieve regional security through connectivity

Kabul (Agencies): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani have agreed on achieving the common aim of regional security through connectivity.

The understanding came during delegation level talks between Abbasi and Ghani in Kabul on Friday.

After the meeting with Ghani, Abbasi and his entourage arrived at the office of Afghan Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah for consultations.

Abbasi thanked the Afghan President for the warm hospitality and extended an invitation to Ghani to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience.

Abbasi reached Kabul on a day-long visit to Afghanistan on Friday.

The red carpet was rolled out as Abbasi arrived in Kabul. A guard of honour was presented to the premier at the Afghan presidential palace upon arrival.

National Security Adviser Nasser Janjua, Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor Iqbal Zafar Janjua are accompanying the premier.
