Lakki Marwat (Web Desk): Two police officials, including a deputy superintendent of police (DSP), were martyred on Saturday after an attack on their vehicle in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP).
According to police, after attack on police van near the Manjiwala Chowk, Lakki Marwat DSP Gul Mohammad Khan and Constable Naseem Gul embraced martyrdom while another policeman sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital.
A heavy contingent of police reached the spot after the incident and launched a search operation.
In a separate incident in the Sara Darga district of Lakki Marwat, Constable Sanamat Khan was martyred when unknown assailants opened fire at him near his house.
As per the reports, the policeman was stationed in Miranshah, North Waziristan and had returned home on leave.
The attacks are the latest in a series of incidents targeting police officials in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Earlier on Tuesday, at least six policemen were injured when unknown miscreants attacked them in the Township area of Bannu.
