About 39,000 Pakistanis deported from Saudi Arabia: report

Riyadh (Web Desk): Over 39,000 Pakistani citizens have been deported from Saudi Arabia in the past four months for violating the rules of residence and work.

A number of Pakistani nationals were involved in some terror-related activities became a public threat, further adding that Pakistanis were also detained for drug trafficking, thefts, forgery and physical assault, Saudi Gazette reported.

According to the paper, Abdullah Al-Sadoun, chairman of the security committee of the Shoura Council, directed recruiting companies to thoroughly scrutinize the Pakistanis before they are recruited for work in the Kingdom. He asked for a more closer coordination with the concerned authorities in Pakistan to thoroughly check those coming to work in the Kingdom due to the involvement of a number of Pakistanis in security issues.
