Pakistan, Saudi Arabia vow better liaison to address various issues

Islamabad (Web Desk): Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saud bin Naif met his Pakistani counterpart Sheikh Rashid Ahmad in Islamabad.

They two ministers discussed issues of mutual interest, including the regional security situation, the Radio Pakistan reported.

The two ministers emphasised on strengthening ties between the Ministries of Interior of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They said better liaison between ministries is needed to address various issues, including security challenges.

Sheikh Rashid said Pakistan values its relations with Saudi Arabia as they are based on mutual trust and Islamic brotherhood. He said two million Pakistanis working in Saudi Arabia are our precious asset.

The minister thanked the Saudi government for taking the excellent care of Pakistani workers.

Earlier, Saudi Interior Minister Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud bin Naif arrived in Islamabad on a day-long visit on Monday and was received by his counterpart Sheikh Rashid at the Noor Khan Airbase, Rawalpindi.

According to the interior ministry, he will meet key government and security officials, including President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan.
