5.5 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts parts of country

Lahore (Staff Report): Earthquake tremors were felt in parts of Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (K-P) and other cities of Punjab, on Wednesday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), magnitude of the earthquake was recorded 5.5 on Richter scale felt at 8:25 am and remained for twenty to thirty seconds.

PMD said, “The quake’s epicenter was Bannu district region.”

People rushed out of their houses and offices in panic. However, no loss of life or damage to property was reported.
