Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi tests positive for COVID-19

Lahore (Web Desk): Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Shahid Afridi has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

In a tweet on Saturday, the former Pakistan skipper shared the news and appealed his fans to pray for him.

“I’ve been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I’ve been tested and unfortunately I’m COVID-19 positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery, InshaAllah,” Afridi said.

Shahid Afridi had recently been busy with his charitable foundation as the country grapples with the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) tweeted: "Get well soon. Praying for your swift recovery!"
